Have you ever heard
the saying, “If Mama ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy!”
It means that if the
main person in the household isn’t happy, they will make life miserable for themselves
and everyone around them.
When it comes to you
as an individual, your Soul is Mama.
If your soul is
unhappy, you will not be happy. Nothing in your life will happen easily or effortlessly.
So if you make it a priority
to make your soul happy by honoring it, everything in your life will start to
unfold with ease and grace, because a happy soul is a soul open to receive the
Abundance you’ve been praying for.
What does it mean to
honor your soul?
It means something
different to everyone, so it’s really something you can only decide and know
for yourself.
Since I’ve made
honoring my soul a priority while living as a human on planet Earth, I asked my
soul for some practical ways to honor It in my day-to-day life, just to get
into the habit.
This is what my soul
revealed to me – Its top 10 ways to honor this soul. I share them with you in
the heartfelt hope that you will find them as revealing and useful as I have.
Top 10 Ways to Honor
Your Soul
10. Honor your Body. Your body serves as
the home of your soul, for now. Feed, rest, or water your body as needed. Move
your body around so your soul can feel your body’s aliveness. That’s why your
soul entered a body, to begin with – to enjoy a richly varied life on Planet
Earth, full of color and music, taste and touch.
9. Honor your Mind. Your mind hungers for
inspiration from which to create your life. Feed it with fun or useful
information, loving thoughts and empowering beliefs based on an understanding
that the mind you use is the Mind of God. Think bigger, kinder thoughts … and
your soul will thank you.
8. Honor your Heart. Your feelings matter.
They serve as smoke signals from your soul: “This person makes me feel happy”
“This situation makes me feel sad” “This prayer makes me feel loved.” Give
yourself permission to do more of what makes you feel happy, and your soul will
rejoice.
7. Be Honest with Yourself and Others.
Keep your word if at all possible – and if it’s not, let the other person know
and make a new agreement with him or her. Let go of pretending something is
okay when it isn’t: you and your soul will feel liberated when you tell the
truth; so will any others concerned. Truth really does set you free.
6. Sidestep Avoidable Problems. How can your soul
evolve if you keep struggling with one difficulty after another? Life brings
enough challenges without creating more of them. Your soul would much rather
rejoice in the beauties of Nature than, say, stress out about the rent money
you spent on new shoes. Many problems are more avoidable than you think. Try it
out for yourself and see what happens.
5. Give your Soul the Freedom It Needs to Thrive.
If you’re hooked on anything or anyone, you don’t have an addiction – rather,
the addiction has you. Whether it’s booze or pills, sex or shopping, or a
person you think you can’t live without – reach out for help. It takes strength
to ask for support, yet it’s worth it. Your soul was born free and wants to
stay that way.
4. Recognize Your True Value. Stop hurting
your soul by imagining yourself to be unworthy, undeserving, or damaged. You are a sacred child of Infinite Love. Love
is the only thing that’s real. Everything else is decoration, delusion, or
distortion. Open
to receive all the Good this loving Universe wants you to have, and watch the Abundance
flow in!
3. Give Yourself Permission to Follow Your
Calling. If you feel called to do something, it’s because someone or
something is calling to you. Refusing that invitation causes the soul
unbearable pain. Whether you follow your calling as a profession or a hobby is
up to you. There’s no wrong way to do it. Just do it.
2. Live in Integrity. Make it a daily
practice to conduct yourself with honesty, good humor, fidelity, courage, compassion,
respect for self and others … and 90% of your current problems will start
melting away. Live in integrity with yourself and your soul by recognizing your
needs are as important as anyone else’s.
And, #1 with a bullet:
1. Cultivate True Ambition. True ambition
is the heartfelt desire to live usefully and walk joyfully in the grace of God.
This gives your life meaning, purpose and value … which fulfills your soul’s mission
on earth.
If that’s not honoring
your soul – what is?
As always, it’s an
honor and a privilege to walk this path with you, Dear One! Thank you for
taking the time to read this today.
Thank you!

forth will save you. If you do not bring forth what is within you, what you do
not bring forth will destroy you.”― Gospel of Thomas
