We focused last month on how to create Abundance in your inner world, where true and lasting Abundance dwells. (Click here to read the article, if you missed it)
Today, we’re looking at fun and easy ways to create
more Abundance in your Outer World.
To plant the Garden of Abundance you desire, begin with
these two steps:
- Pull out the Weeds
- Nurture Your Abundance
Want more details? Here you go:
Pull Out the Weeds
Stop overdoing.
When your to-do list is a mile long,
just looking at it sucks away your energy. When it’s packed with things you
don’t want to do, resentment eats away at you.
Instead, schedule breaks and “me time” into every day
and take that time. If you want others to honor you, your time, and your energy
– you have to be the first one to do it.
Let’s clear some unconscious issues that may have kept
you overscheduled and overwhelmed.
Would you like to know how and why and what it feels
like to feel alive …
To know that you matter …
And to understand your true
value in all the other ways available, in addition to busy-ness and
over-scheduling?
If so, please say “Yes” out loud now and feel what you
feel, sense you sense and know what you know. Then notice how you feel.
Good job!
Now, take a deep breath ... slowly exhale … and choose
one task on your written or mental to-do list that’s been sitting there for six
months or more. Give yourself permission to do one of these three things:
- Do it – as in, do it today. Quit putting it off. You’ll feel greatly relieved when it’s done, and it won’t be hanging over you any more, draining your energy by making you feel guilty or inadequate.
- Delegate it – let someone else do it. This can include your partner, your child, your best friend, your assistant, or a hired professional. It can also include turning the task over to God, your guides, the Angel of your choice, or the Universe – they have broad shoulders, they can take it.
- Dump it – does it really need to be done? You’ve gone this long without doing it, and the world has continued spinning on its axis. Maybe you can just let yourself off the hook from having to do it, so you can quit beating yourself up about it and relax.
How much more Abundant will you feel when your days are
filled with activities you look forward to doing?
You can start creating that right now, by applying these do it/delegate it/dump it processes to other items on your to-do list and
calendar!
Next, let’s look at simple ways to:
Nurture Your Abundance
Support your body
Take care of your body, and it will
take care of you. When you’re tired, rest. When you’re hungry, eat. When you’re
thirsty, drink water. Thirty seconds of exercise a day is better than nothing.
Get regular check-ups with a doctor you trust.
It’s easy to take health for
granted – until you lose it. How can you create or enjoy Abundance if you’re
sick?
Practice emotional generosity
If you make a mistake,
forgive yourself and learn from it. If other people make a mistake, give them
the benefit of the doubt. If someone cancels an appointment or stands you up,
regard it as a gift of time and use it to rest or play or catch up with a
friend. If a driver cuts you off in traffic, assume they’re rushing to see a
newborn child or a dying loved one, and bless them on their way.
Every time you
set aside fear or anger in favor of Love, you open the door to more Abundance
of every kind.
Try something new
If you get out of your rut, you may
discover a new passion, uncover a hidden talent, find the inspiration for a new
business – or, just have fun.
- Take a cooking class
- Sign up for an open-mike night
- Learn a new language
- Check out that place you’ve always meant to visit
- Take voice or music lessons
You never know where something new may lead – and in
the meantime, you’ll enjoy the exhilaration that only a fun new experience can
bring. What’s more Abundant than that?
Share your knowledge
If you’re great at doing
something – even if it’s "ordinary," like applying eyeliner or changing a tire –
film a 3-minute "how-to" video and post it on YouTube.
It may seem ordinary to you, but millions of people either have no idea how to do it, or would welcome a new way to do it.
It may seem ordinary to you, but millions of people either have no idea how to do it, or would welcome a new way to do it.
Knowledge is meant to be shared; it creates more
Abundance for everyone!
Thank you for taking the time to read this!

Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the
seeds that you plant. – Robert Louis Stevenson
